Wilma Childers

Wilma Jo Childers went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 26, 2014 at the age of 74. She passed away at her home in Brashear, Texas after a battle with cancer.
She was born January 8, 1940 in Brashear, Texas to Earl and Bessie Bunch. She married Jack Odell Childers on September 24, 1955 in Mesquite, Texas. Wilma was an active member of Brashear Baptist Church. She was an excellent cook and seamstress and delighted in using her talents to serve her church, family and friends. Her happiest times were those when she was doing for or taking care of others. Through the years she created a collection of beautiful quilts which she shared with family members. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Stars. She enjoyed reading, watching cooking shows on tv and an avid NASCAR fan. She retired from the manufacturing and sewing industry where most of her tenure was spent in management.

Wilma Jo is survived by two sisters: Doris (Polly) Barker of Brasher, Texas. Cathy Gibbs and husband Martin Gibbs of Quinlan, Texas.
Three brothers: Clifford Bunch, Richard and Diane Bunch of Brashear, Texas. Johnny Bunch and wife Judy Bunch of Panama City, Florida Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, four brothers and three sons, David Jack, Michael Scott and Jimmy Odell Childers. She is survived by three children Jackie Wayne and wife Barbara Childers of Ben Wheeler, Texas. Donna Jo Merciers and husband Jason Merciers of Combine, Texas. Beth Anne Stevenson and husband Theodore Stevenson of Greenville, Texas.

twelve grandchildren and spouses Kevin and Wendy, Justin, Simon and Sharon, Jacob, Tyler, Alisa, Kimberly, Chloe, Chrissy, Genea, Elainea, and Gary.
