Funeral services for Nettie Juanita Booth, age 92, will be conducted at Tapp Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2012, with Rev. Donnie "DJ" Powers officiating. Interment will follow at Peerless Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Waggoner, Stanley McQueen, and Anthony Pennington. Visitation will be held Monday, December 17, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tapp Funeral Home.
Nettie Juanita Booth passed away Friday, December 14, 2012, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Horaito, Arkansas on September 6, 1920, the daughter of Bob and Precious Faye Stevens Foster. She married Finise Pennington. He preceded her in death. She married Johnny Lee Booth. He also preceded her in death. Ms. Booth was a retired dietician and of Methodist faith.
Survivors include: sons, Sonny Pennington, and wife, Kathy, of Sulphur Springs, and Travis Booth, of Birthwright; daughter, Ann McQueen, and husband, Stanley, of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Dana Leighton, Jason Pennington, Stanley Joe McQueen, Wesley James McQueen, Travis Clint Booth and Cheryl Vargas; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: daughter, Francine Pennington; son, Willie James Booth; brothers, Clifton Foster and Sherman Foster; sister, Grace Foster; and granddaughter, Paula Pennington Watkins.
