Mitchell Valentine

A graveside service for Mitchell Valentine, age 72, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at Tira Cemetery at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 6, 2012, with Dr. Kent Pate officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Ben Jennings, Allan Pace, Billy Joe Clayton, Jimmy Anderson, Richard Bearden, and Porter Woods.
Mitchell Valentine passed away at his residence Thursday afternoon, August 2, 2012. He was born in San Antonio, TX, on April 4, 1940, the son of James Robert Valentine SR. and Hallie Leona Valentine. He was a retired General Manager at Contech.
Survivors include: son: Tim Huff and wife, Shelly, of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren: Katie Huff and Christain Huff; sister: Elizabeth "Betsy" Icke, of Fairview; step-daughters: Wendy Byrum and son, Ryan Byrum, and Tammy Muse and son, Jayson Muse. He has several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Willa Lou "Penny" Valentine, his parents, brother, James Valentine Jr, and sister, Joyce Murdock. Memorials may be made to the family.
