Mary Goggans

Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Goggans, age 92 of Sulphur Springs, have been set for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Leo Wisniewski officiating. Interment will follow in Emblem Cemetery with Tate Price, Eric Goggans, Ty Goggans, Glenn Goggans, Earl Bauman, and Neil Price serving as pallbearers. William Norris Troboy, Tim Vestal, Billy Daniels, and Bill Jack Horton will serve as honorary pallbearers. A visitation will be held Wednesday evening January 5, 2011 at Tapp Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Mary Elizabeth Price was born February 1, 1918 in Sulphur Springs. She was the daughter of Lem Raleigh Price, Sr. and Mattie Pearl Chamberlain. She married James Tommie Goggans in Sulphur Springs on January 4, 1941. He preceded her in death January 10, 1981. She was a homemaker and a member of Ridgeway Union Church.

Survivors include sons, David Goggans, of Ridgeway, Deckman Goggans, and wife, Deana, of Sulphur Springs, Dudley Goggans, and wife, Cheryl, also of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Kobie Price, and husband, Tate, of Sulphur Springs, Eric Goggans, and wife, Amber, of Greenville, Katie Vestal, and husband, Tim, of Ft. Worth, Ty Goggans, of Sulphur Springs; great grandchildren, Rayli, Kasen, Lexi, Emmi Price, Scott Johnson, Reagan and Dean Goggans; and several nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by one brother, Lem Price Jr., one grandson, William Elic Goggans and half-brothers, Julian Price, Charlton Price, and Harold Price.
