Lue Kendricks

Funeral services for Lue Dean Thomas Kendricks will be held at 1:00 P. M. Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Morning Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Harold B. Nash officiating. Burial will follow in the Sandfield Cemetery with Lewis Thomas, Earnest Clemons III, Cledis Washington, Jr, Diori Thomas, Mark Kendricks, Brent Kendricks, Stanley Kendricks and Ricky Kendricks serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday evening at Tapp Funeral Home.

Lue Dean Thomas was born April 13, 1938 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She was the second child born to Roosevelt and Nannie Mae Dotson Thomas, Sr. Lue Dean married Willie Lee "Bill " Kendricks on November 19, 1955. To this union one child, Glenda, was born. Mrs. Kerrdricks passed away Sunday morning, February 21, 2010 at her residence in Sulphur Springs.

Lue Dean was a very active member of Morning Chapel Baptist Church where she served as a former member of the choir, usher board and Heroines of Jericho Lodge.

Surviving family includes: her daughter, Glenda Turner and husband Harvey Turner of Euless, Texas, grandsons, Chaddrick Turner of Plainview, Texas and Harvey Turner, Jr. of Decatur, Texas, five great-grandchildren and two great-grand Goddaughters. Brothers Ravis Thomas. Bobby Thomas and wife Margie Marie of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Roosevelt Thomas, Jr. and wife Sharon of Miami, Florida, sisters, Hugh Dot Kelley, Margie Thomas and Margaret Thomas of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Lauretta Washington of Tyler, Texas, and Linda Trimble and husband Ray of Lancaster, Texas, brother-in-law
M.L. Kendricks and wife Darlene and sister-in-laws, Flora Jean Kendricks of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Clarine Kendricks of Como, Texas and Ida Mae Harper of Quitman, Texas also survive along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Mrs. Kendricks was preceded in death by her father on May 18, 2000 and her mother on March 12, 2007 and her husband on December 8, 1984.
