Funeral services for Jeanette Scott Hatch Payne, age 86, of Hopkins County, are scheduled for Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 11:00am in the Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Friday officiating. Burial will follow in the Weaver Cemetery with grandsons, Jay Hatch, Brian Beadle, David Hatch, Guy Hatch, Jason Beadle, Jeremy Hatch, and Landon Womack serving as pallbearers. Gaylon Payne and Coy Payne will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, August 4, 2010 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Tapp Funeral Home.

Edna Jeanette Scott was born October 30, 1923 in Sulphur Springs the daughter of Lawton M. and Pauline Tolleson Scott. She married Guy Hatch on October 8, 1939. He preceded her in death in 1967. She married Alton L. Payne in July 1968. He preceded her in death in 1983. She was a homemaker and was a member of Weaver Baptist Church. She passed away August 2, 2010 in Mt. Vernon.

Survivors include sons, Larry Hatch, and wife Wanda of Red Oak, Mike Hatch, and wife Lyda of Waxahachie, Bobby Hatch, and wife Anita of Farris; daughter, Carolyn Edwards, and husband James of Weaver; brother, W.D. Scott of Sulphur Springs; sister, Rose Jobe of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Jay Hatch, Monica Hanson, Tammy Hatch, Michelle Lord, Guy Hatch, Brian Beadle, Jason Beadle, David Hatch, Jeremy Hatch, Tonya Outland, Landon Womack, and Lindsay Dean; twenty great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Brenda Beadle; brothers, Joe Scott, Kenneth Scott and Jackie Scott.
