James Earl Jones age 70, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs, Texas.

James was born on February 2, 1955 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Charles Wayne and Betty (Brasher) Jones.

He is survived by his son, Corey Jones of Sulphur Springs, Texas; twin sister, Jean Thompson and her husband Richard; brother Roy Jones.

James was proceeded in death by his parents, and brother Charles Jones.
