Isaac "Daddy Red" Porter

Funeral Service for Isaac “Daddy Red” Porter, age 79 of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Tapp Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Mr. Porter passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehabilitation.

Isaac was born on September 12, 1946, in Greenville, Texas to Mack Franklin “Roscoe” and Lena Mae (Heath) Porter. Isaac married Betty Jean (Smith) Porter in Emory, Texas in 1967. They shared 57 wonderful years together until her death in October of 2024.

Isaac retired from Jeld-Wen where he continued enjoying team roping and welding.

Isaac is survived by his daughters, Yolanda Williams, Rhonda Porter and Vickie Walker (Juan), Margaret (Donnie) Harris all of Sulphur Springs, Texas; grandchildren, Ashley Porter, Shateria Porter, Nicholas Porter, Rashaun Stokes; great grandchildren, Tyrelle Porter, Zakaylin Porter, Javoni (Chewi/Curt) Porter, Malena Porter, Aida Stokes; sisters, Judy Fields, Nell Miles and Glayden Mayfield; brothers, Joe (Linda) Porter, Aaron (Linda) Porter, Karon (Marry) Porter, Larry (Pam) Gore; numerous nieces and nephews; sister in law, Marry (Kenny) Moutague of Toledo, Ohio.

Isaac Porter was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Jean (Smith) Porter; his parents, Mack Franklin “Rosco” and Lena Mae (Heath) Porter; brothers, Bob Porter, Buddy Porter, Bill Porter, Anthony Porter, Orange Lee Porter, David Lee Porter, Julius Porter; sisters, Mary Louise Hayes and Sally Pearl Tate; granddaughter, Travesa Porter; great grandchildren, Santana and Brees Peek (Porter); special friends and family, Al (Tina) Lopez, Dale Rape, Raymond Robinson, Rickey Godbolt, Tommy Lee, James Wright and Terry Williams.
