Graveside services for Dale H. Payne, Sr., age 65, of Sulphur Springs, have been scheduled for 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at North Hopkins cemetery with Bro. David Young officiating. Bobby George, Joe Joiner, James Worster, and David Alexander will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Dale H. Payne, Sr. was born on March 16, 1946, in Dallas, the son of Luther H. Payne and Louisa Isalene Martin Payne. He married Linda Gail Holt on July 9, 1969 in DeKalb. She survives. Mr. Payne held an MBA from East Texas State University and was retired from AP Green. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. In respect of his service to his country, the Hopkins County Military Coalition will present the flag. He was of the Baptist faith and was a life member of Bun Lilly #16 Chapter of Disabled American Vets. Mr. Payne passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011 in Sulphur Springs.
Survivors include: son, D.J. Payne, of Sulphur Springs; daughter, Rebecca Denise Payne, of Sulphur Springs; half brother, John B. Payne; and half sister, Eloise Lane. He was preceded in death by his parents.
