Clyde Irons

Clyde Williams Irons, age 94, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Carriage House Manor Nursing Home. She married John B. Irons on January 20, 1940. He survives.

Other survivors are a sister, Inez Beeson, of Sulphur Springs; one niece, Barbara Sturgeon, of Rockwall; one nephew, Roger Williams, of Kimberling City, Missouri; three great nieces; one great nephew; one great-great niece; and six great-great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Gladys Williams; two sisters, Cleo Browning and Margaret Williams; and two brothers, James Williams and Roger David Williams.

She accepted Christ as age 12 and was a member of First Baptist Church for many years. She was a devoted homemaker and always enjoyed her beautiful flowers. She also knitted and gave away many beautiful afghans and other items.

Funeral services will be held at Tapp Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 2:00pm. A visitation will be held at 1:00 prior to the service. Honorary pallbearers are friends and neighbors, the Joy Sunday School Class and Hospice at Memorial.
