Funeral services for Mr. Billy Joe Jenkins, age 69, of Yantis, have been scheduled for 11:00am , October 5, 2016 at the Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry McAlister and Rev. Patrick Lloyd officiating. Interment will follow at Seymore Cemetery with Bobby Jenkins, Tommy Jenkins, Ashley Jenkins, Tommy Jenkins, Jr., Thomas Jenkins and Tammie Pierce serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Tapp Funeral Home.
Billy Joe Jenkins was born on November 27, 1946, in Velasco, Texas, the son of Thomas Franklin and Essie Lavern Sells Jenkins. He was a retired construction worker. Mr. Jenkins passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 at his residence in Yantis, Texas.
Survivors include three sons, Bobby Jenkins, Tommy Jenkins and Ashley Jenkins; one daughter, Tammie Pierce; eight grandchildren; one grandchild; three brothers, Jimmy Jenkins, Larry Jenkins and Johnny Jenkins; one sister, Linda Kay Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his parents.
