Billy Hatchell

Funeral services for Billy Jearl Hatchell, age 76, of Sulphur Springs have been scheduled for Wednesday, July 25,2012 at 10:00AM at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Pepper officiating. Interment will follow in Stouts Creek Cemetery with Jim Barnes, Bobby Broughton, Frank Davidson, Bob Dickson, Glen Zachary, Bill Pepper, and Thomas Phillips serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Wynell Anderson and the members of the Pathfinders Class of First Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening July 24, 2012 at Tapp Funeral Home from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Mr. Hatchell passed away Friday, July 20, 2012.
Billy Jearl Hatchell was born on May 21, 1936, in Hopkins County, the son of R.C. and Annie Mae Ward Hatchell. He married Arlene Stevens in Big Springs TX, on December 27, 1954. Mr. Hatchell was retired from the Texas Highway Department. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon.
Survivors include Sisters-n-Law and Brothers-n-Law, Bobby and Charlene Kerby, of Sulphur Springs, and Cecil and Linda Dodd of Sulphur Springs. He was preceded in death by daughter, Julie Dianne Hatchell.
