Bertrum Douglas Isabell

Memorial Service for Bertrum Douglas Isabell, age 65, will be held on Friday, June 12,2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Tapp Funeral Home with Minister Rudy Ellis officiating. Mr. Isabell passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026 at his residence. 

Bertrum Douglas Isabell was born February 3, 1961, in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Robert E. and Hazel Lee (Moten) Hatcher. He played high school football and remained a devoted fan of the game throughout his life. Following his graduation from high school, he attended and graduated from the Police Academy. Bertrum had a special love for dogs and dedicated his career to caring for them.

Bertrum is survived by mother, Hazel Lee (Moten) Hatcher, best friend, Marcus Dunlap, his employer and friend, Ron White, and a host of family and friends, including Steve Mitchell, Moten Family, H.V. Hatcher Family, Mable Dunlap, Lona Bell Fountain, Debra Fountain, Billy Fountain, Wanda Dunlap and Mary Ann Grant.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Isabell.
