Barbara Thompson

Funeral services for Barbara Thompson, age 72, of Sulphur Springs, have been scheduled for 11:00am Thursday, September 19, 2013, at Shannon Oaks Church with Eric Godwin officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Jarrod Thompson, Brandon Searcy, Christopher Young, Jonathan Young, Daniel Johnson, and Marcus Harris as pallbearers. A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2013 from 6:00pm-8:00pm, at Tapp Funeral Home.
Barbara Thompson was born in Sulphur Springs, TX, the daughter of Lawrence and Ella Mary Pannell. She married Wilbert Thompson in Sulphur Springs on June 30, 1961. He preceded her in death on March 20, 2002. Mrs. Thompson passed away Monday, September 16, 2013 at Sunny Springs Nursing Home.
Survivors include, daughters, Regina Johnson, of Sulphur Springs, Lisa Thompson (Doug), of Sulphur Springs, Zina Young, of Sulphur Springs, and Eleanor Harris (Marcus), of Sulphur Springs; son, Calvin Craddock, of Ft. Worth; step-daughter, Evelyn Turner (Ray) of Ft. Worth; step-son, Steven Thompson, of Dallas, R.T. Harris, of Dallas, and James Holiness, of Dallas; brothers, Rev. Richardson McQueen (Jean), of Ft. Worth, Cleveland McQueen (Margie), of Sulphur Springs, and Rev. W. Scott Pannell (Tammie), of Tyler; sisters, Flora Clayton (Charles), of Sulphur Springs, Billye Pannell, of Sulphur Springs, and Brenda Lewis (Ronald), of Sulphur Springs; eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Opal Pogue and Floretta Askew; grandson, Antiquon Harris; brother Lawrence Pannell, JR; step-sons, Calvin Thompson, Michael Holiness, and Zachary Thompson.
