Sam Payne

A Family led Memorial Service for Samuel Payne, age 83, of Hawkins, TX, will be held at a later date. Mr. Payne passed away at his residence on Tuesday, October 22, 2019.

Samuel Augusta Payne, III was born on June 23, 1936 in Sulphur Springs to Samuel Augusta Payne, II and Willie Christian Payne. He married Jean Boaz in Dallas on December 7, 1973. Sam worked as a warehouse manager for Pfizer before retiring.

Mr. Payne is survived by his wife: Jean Payne; daughter: Elizabeth Rogers of Houston; sons: Chris Payne and wife, Beth of Arlington, Russell Boaz and wife, Kara of Mesquite, William Boaz and wife, Lourdes of Garland and Jason Payne and wife, Sonya of Virginia; eight grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother: Edgar Payne of Sulphur Springs; sister: Wilma Thompson of Sulphur Springs.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Sam and Willie Payne; sister: Martha Clemmons.
